I don't think Hasbro would even try to go after Dr. Foreigner. I think they could pull it out waiting their lawyer team strategy on claiming the name is theirs because so is the pony or something like that. I think you could get that in court. |

Um, I don't think it works that way. The name doesn't automatically get trademarked by whoever says it first. Especially since Derpy was already a character on the show before Dr. Foreigner named her.
And anyway, it would be INCREDIBLY hard for anyone to enforce such a trademark. You would have to take Hasbro to court, and you'd also have to prove that you are Dr. Foreigner, a name that anyone can type into 4chan and claim as their own, especially since it does not use a Tripcode. It would be practically impossible to prove that a single specific post on 4chan (a site that gets around half a million posts a DAY) from a year and a half ago, was made by you. So really, Hasbro has nothing to worry about here. Of course, they may have just panicked on it anyway, because lawyers are paranoid. |

@Anon620: It does make sense in that they're profiting off having the show on iTunes, but not through showing it on the Hub website. If they were concerned about copyright and royalties, that's exactly how I'd expect them to react. |

People, it's 2012 - the end of the world's just next door. Hasbro is digging a great shelter somewhere and they're stuffing it with their most important belongings. Everything for the good of Derpy. It's my headcanon and I'm stickin to it.

4chan is the birthplace of the term brony and pretty much the entire friendship is magic phenomenon. All of this only exists because of 4chan, you really need to learn about the roots of the fandom Last year when Derpy first showed up Dr Foreigner wasnt sitting there trying to come up with a catchy name for a background pony just so it would become popular and make its way into the show so that eventually it would cause a shitstorm because he 'owns' the name if that is your thought process, you have gone full derp |
