I was running late, I reached the stream minutes if not seconds afterwards. But there wasn't still so much shitstorm then. But there was no replay afterwards! That gave everypony a mild shitstorm. So I asked when would it become available in Youtube and left, returning only later the day, during full shitstorm. |

and I tunes with Derpy talking episode is taken down. People believe somepeople have asked Hasbro to stop calling Derpy Derpy. Somepeople (trolls?) said Yamino asked this because she complained about it on her own blog about the name. Raging Bronies attacks Yamino (only with hate mail etc.) Yamino said on her Deviant Art she didn't asked Hasbro to stop calling Derpy Derpy and find it funny people think that Hasbro even would listen to her. Right here. Not giving a single fuck, which is exactly how many fucks I've ever given about a particular grey pegasus with blonde hair and yellow eyes.
Even so, I always prefered the name Ditzy, but the amusement I got from watching certain parts of the fandom freak out following The Last Roundup kind of evened out with my prefering that name. However, the amusement hit its peak, and it's moved over to being absolutely retarded and THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS now. I do enjoy that the tag derpy_drama was created, as it meant I could filter it out. Will derpygate2012 follow it? The world may never know. Ahem. These are the kinds of times when I really, really like that there's only one thing related to ponies I treat like it's serious business. And even that I do tongue in cheek. I don't think I've ever before seen a fandom that so badly needs to collectively stop, take a deep breath and stop taking things seriously. I'm here for cute pictures of ponies. I don't know about you. |

Maybe this is all out of proportion, maybe it's not. The fact that anyone (We Love Fine, iTunes) has already taken steps to censor Derpy out of political correctness or perceived negative public reaction is troubling. I, for one, will continue to fight for Derpy with all the love and tolerance I can muster until things progress past rumor and into fact one way or another. |
