I'm not saying anyone should agree with any position they don't agree with.
I'm just saying that if you don't like something, and someone starts throwing around vague and hateful insults instead of making actual points on why you shouldn't feel that way, then are you going to take them seriously? What good does this do? That's my whole point. What good does anger and hatred and disharmony do to our community? |

It was a vocal minority, then eventually they shut up mostly. Suddenly tho, Hasbro is supposedly telling WeLoveFine not to use Derpy, so then we all bring bakk our rage against the anti-Derpy people.
I doubt Hasbro is really even aware of people who didn't like Derpy's portrayal. My theory is that Derpy was never secured by Hasbro for merchandise, so they're preemptively getting rid of it on all merch until they're sure they can use it. |

You know...I think the newer fans of the show are complaining about this. I started watching back in late June, but I was fully aware of the Derpy phenomenon about a month into watching the show. Derpy may not be my favorite background character (Lyra be it) I don't think she deserves this hate she is getting.
To reiterate, I personally think newer fans of the show believe it to be offensive |

Basically, some people thought that Derpy was portrayed too much like a stereotypical "braindead accident prone not-a-real-person" type of character and complained about it. Naturally, this caught the attention of people who are offended by the idea that things hurt people's feelings, and the usual argument ensued over whether that entire section of the human emotional spectrum is a thoughtcrime or not. |

I think that instead of raging over this whole ''Derpy Drama'' thing, the community should all try to calm down, collect our thoughts and make proper research on the subject. Let's properly verify first all rumors and speculation, so we may be able to see the real facts.
I love Derpy like a lot of bronies does, but let us find out first if our beloved Muffin Queen is really in danger, before going 'The Incredible Hulk' on this issue. |
