My first thought that it's the end of the episode after the potion has warn off, and they wink to show that there's no hard feelings and perhaps leave the possibility of a relationship open. |

I'm oddly reminded of the Simpsons episode where Principal Skinner and Bart's teacher Krabapple start dating, then it becomes this big issue, and they 'break up'. The ending line about "that's what I love about elementry school - the children believe whatever you tell them!" in particular.
I definitely get the impression there'll be some colluding between Big Mac and Cheerilee to teach the CMC a lesson, but that they'll end up well-disposed toward each other by the end of it all. |
