I really do want to keep an open mind to Transformers: Prime. I guess I have trouble working up the excitement to watch the series when I feel like everyone's forgotten about Transformers: Animated, which was the series that got me into TF and has a special place in my heart.
Maybe this is what the fans who grew up on G1 feel like. Still doesn't exactly excuse the whole "ruined FOREVER" business they're always doing. |

I don't know. Transformers Prime is pretty dark compared to MLP:FIM. I mean the very first episode has a main character getting killed by Starscream, the second episode has him coming back as a mindless zombie (Terrorcon) and getting slashed in half by Megatron and there is one episode that has a Blackarachnia-lookalike named Airachnid who goes around killing indigenous lifeforms for fun and has their heads as trophies. |
