That or a Nintendo DS. |

Depends on what your in the hospital for anon, I had to be in one not to long ago but never had the chance to read it, far to tired to read. |

Read it, filly. |

I've read the first five books (and regretted reading the fifth one, actually); are Salmon of Doubt and/or And Another Thing... worth reading? |

I haven't had a chance to read "And Another Thing" yet, but I heard everything from "not as good as the other books" to "completely terrible." |

I can't say Acute, I picked this very one up not that long ago as I have been meaning to read it for years. |

I personally found And Another Thing better than the fifth, but only marginally. |

Funny thing is, I have never seen the movie or read the book but know a lot of things about it, I have been making "42" references for a long time, and other things from it too. |

Salmon of Doubt is mostly a collection of essays and interviews, useful if your goal is to read every word Adams ever wrote, padding the first 80 pages of a Dirk Gently novel that isn't going to be finished.
And Another Thing is indulgent fanfiction of the "fix everything" kind. It is worthwhile fanfiction, but that's all it is. After undoing Mostly Harmless, which requires more attention to the events of Mostly Harmless than of the more pleasant books, Colfer latches onto the fact that the Norse pantheon exists in the HHGG universe and decides this needs to be expanded upon, going into the whole gods thing in a way that is best left to Pratchett. |

Harlequin_Jester, Green_LED, Cerulean: Thanks for your input! I'm tempted to read And Another Thing... just for the fact it undoes the fifth book (which I hate so much I can't even bring myself to use the title phrase anymore), but it sounds like I'm better off just continuing to ignore everything after So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish. |

Wow, I almost regretted reading the fifth one. |
