I like to think that ponies in the FiM sense are normal ponies + radiation, magic, and fucked up genetics all combining to make some frickin' cute creatures purely by accident.

We call them Ponies but as far as actual Equines go, only Celestia and Luna could be classed as Ponies. The rest are actually Miniature Horses. I'm also a Brony who knows that real Horses are more fun than MLP, even though I like them too. |

@#939908 Um...not really. We really don't know how big they are, and even if they were small enough to be considered minis, they would also be ponies, as any horse under 14.2 hands is a pony.
Again, no idea what size they really are, but I've always seen Celestia and Luna as fully-sized horses, or really big ponies. |
