AJ's turret may look less advanced, but at least it's able to tell who it should and shouldn't shoot, unlike the Portal turrets. |

So... a bunch of unreliable turrets that shoot everyone indiscriminately regardless whether they're friend or foe directly in front of them and shut down when knocked over VS a reliable, sturdy turret that's just as good, will only shoot specified targets in any direction except straight up or down, is useful until completely destroyed and can be upgraded to have missiles.
