There is supposed to be a pet safe paint, its what is used to paint Hermit crab shells.. But it also washes off in water, so even then you might end up making a turtle sick as that stuff floats in its tank. But regular paint is pure poison to everything. |

^But he's not a turtle. He's a tortoise. A terrestrial critter that doesn't swim. Thus, the stuff used on hermit crabs, if it is as safe as they say, should cause no adverse effects. |
