She did learn something, actually:
Using only four ponies to make cider for a whole town that doesn't hav a constant supply is a horribly stupid business decision that hurts you and your customers. Or she totally ignored that part because the Apple family has had an almost unchallenged (and apparently government-sponsored even with Celestia not helping it anymore, since they were competing for exclusive sale rights) monopoly on multiple types of apple products for three generations, and can thus get away with acting as if love and family are the only things they need. |

Until Twilight bailed your arrogant asses out of the fire, the Flim Flam's cider was, indeed, just as good as your own. You didn't win because of "honest and hard work".
