@Dionysus: It's not really conscious on their part. Which is easier? Remembering which completely irrelevant background pony has which voice, or making up a silly voice on the spot each time one is called for?
Also, BonBon has four voices now. This one, "That incredible amazing doll", "I didn't put those in my bag", and "Is she here? we heard fluttershy was here/ and you are? /never heard of you." |

I still think what we've heard is now Bon-Bon's "standard" voice, since it resembles the voice she has when she was cheering for Rainbow Dash's well rescue in "Mare-Do-Well" and when she gasped over the ponies being divided... by hatred in "Hearth's Warming Eve".
Double-check for yourself and tell me I'm wrong or that I'm over-interpreting it, but it's still the impression I got. |

This voice was a bit of a throwback to her voice in "Call of the Cutie" where she said "I didn't put those in my bag!" It was a little toned down but you could definitely hear a bit of that voice's DNA carrying over.
I'd be OK with that being her "canon" voice, although I thought her voice from "Green Isn't Your Color" was the prettiest sounding (even if she did sound kind of like a pretentious teenager). Her voice in Lesson Zero was the worst, though. |
