I lean towards the conservative side a bit but I will almost definitely vote Obama. Gingrich and Romney are the two front runners right now for the GOP and they seem pretty out of touch. |

Ron Paul is probably not a brony.
The guy may sound intelligent and agreeable at first, but he's a libertarian. The entire point of their party is to remove as much power from the gov't as possible plus some isolationism. He opposes SOPA because it gives gov't more power. He opposes (not as in he campaigns against, just that he disagrees with and will not support the celebrating of) anti-segregation laws because they give gov't more power. He opposes being in the UN because it means other gov'ts get more power. He's still the best Republican candidate, but that's only because all the rest would gladly support awful laws like the PATRIOT act and SOPA without even knowing what they contain. His more extreme views would be hard to actually happen. The biggest problem with him as an actual president would be that he would likely get absolutely nothing done except repeal legislation. It's good to get rid of the PATRIOT act and say no to ACTA, but it's impossible to progress if you never introduce any new legislation. |
