Considering all the recent "petitions" posts, this is going to cheapen and make change.org irrelevant.
If anyone and their soccermom can make stupid petitions like these, how will the intended targets even bother to follow through if most are just nothing but butthurt tripe. One day we will need to use this petition site legit and nobody would listen on account of all these damn "cry wolves"... |

Yes, indeed never show any disabled or mentally handicapped ponies ever. We don't need to know they exist. In fact showing anypony on screen that isn't full bodied and capable is just a slap in the face for all disabled ponies.
Heck, get rid of that Snails character. I think he may have some sort of learning condition too and we can't have him setting a bad example for all learning disabled ponies. The more handicapped ponies are swept under the rug, the harder it is to make fun of them. No harassment for what isn't there. I think it just makes it easier for everypony. |

Why can't a mentally handicapped person be on TV?
Why can't an individual with a mental disability be in a show without it being some kind of forced lesson on why some people are "special" Are they ashamed of the disabled? My petition to the creators. Keep Derpy around, have her be a shining model of what a disabled person can become. Bring it out into the fucking open. GIVE NO QUARTER! |

You know, we can always just make the other name be a nickname. Like how other ponies shorten Rainbow Dash to Dashie or Pinkamena shortened hers to Pinkie. Have your cupcake, and eat it too!
So Derpy can be her name and Ditzy what Dashie and Rarity call her when she knocks too much stuff over or keeps flattening Twilight. (Since that one is the real word and would make more sense as a nickname.) |
