"Spike was the Ponyarch of the Space Mareine legion The Reptiles. Their homeworld is the volcanic Death World of Nocturne. The Reptiles as a Chapter are unusually concerned with civilian casualties compared to most other Space Mareines and believe that one of their most important duties is to protect the lives of the Empress of Ponykind's innocent subjects whenever and wherever possible. The hammer and the fire are both important symbols of the Legion, and the Chapter makes widespread use of Flamers, Meltaguns, and Thunder Hammers in their armoury. As one can imagine, this preference for Flamers and Meltas leads to a strong affinity among the Reptiles for close-range shooting when in combat. Because of their universal early training as blacksmiths, all Reptiles are fully capable of maintaining and performing moderate repair work on their weapons and armour, leaving the Chapter's Artificers with the free time necessary to create great works of technology and metallurgy. Despite everyone in the Chapter being reptiles, lizards and the like which has caused a lot of confusion and debate among Ponykind, they are still accepted among the Chapters. And througout the galaxy their Legion is known for being one of the most loyal and staunchy defenders the Imperium has. * Little know fact: Spike himself was deeply in love with fellow Ponyarch Rarity, wether this was mutual or not was a popular subject of debate among the legions. Spike however did not shy away from publicly stating his feelings by getting a tattoo with her name on it. And he adorned his weapons with...
