As much as I disagree with these uploads, I am not resorting to filters. It goes against my philosophy.
The way I see it, the world isn't censored. You see things you shouldn't see every day, everything from animals going at it in the zoo to people getting hit by cars. There is no way for you to "filter" out these experiences, you just have to deal with it. I feel that the internet requires the same approach. Do I see things I find disgusting often? Yes, it happens quite often. But I reckon I come out of it better than I was before. Because every image that upsets me is another addition to my tolerance for such things, and finding total gems that wouldn't have been possible with filters on makes everything worth it. That said, I don't look down on those who use filters. In fact, I try to make sure that tags are correct on explicit images. |

Thinking about it, this is like those threads on /b/ of people posting pics of jizz on photos. I never understood the appeal in looking at another guy's jizz on a lifeless photo, but I'd just ignore it and move on.
This is slightly different, however, in that it is jizz on a toy of a character many people hold in high regard, to the point that the toy itself can be called "sacred" to some. Similarly, children's toys are often coupled with childlike innocence, which is too believed to be "sacred" to some. Symbolically speaking, jizzing on something "sacred" (or at least making it look it) is bound to evoke very aggressive reactions from quite a number of people. This is a very bad thing in that this predictable knee-jerk reaction is a perfect opportunity for trolling. After getting over the initial shock and horror, I see this as just another fetish that I cannot see the appeal in. But that doesn't mean it is wrong, even if something is "sacred". Why? Because R34 was created on the sole fact that the purest things will always have someone corrupting it in some way, and R34, though controversial, is an accepted part of internet life. In conclusion, these "toy-cumshot" images should theoretically not be any more shocking than R34, and thus, should not suffer from restrictions not applied to R34. However, if it is clear that the images are being uploaded here with the intent of trolling users (such as with incorrect tags, or a flood of images in a short space of time), then said images should be properly tagged and reported as such. |
