I wish they had been in the last one. Their would-be final appearance would have redeemed them. Basically, they would have jumped to attack Sentinel after he brutally murdered Ironhide, giving the rest of the team time to escape. A legendary final stand.
But no, no one likes the niggerbots. So Bay cut this amazing battle out of the movie. And really, all of the battles sucked anyways. |

As amazing as Sentinel was, reducing the legendary Shockwave to petty mook status was unforgivable. When Shockwave appears, good guys die. No exceptions. Shouldn't have used him at all.
And don't get me started on Megatron. Actually, all the Con's were a joke, except Laserbeak. That was Bay's worst mistake, writing them as mere cannon fodder. The Decepticons have just as many fans as the Autobots, and just as much character. |

The thing that annoyed me about these two was that they actually gave them a cool concept design by making them into an ice cream truck, making them the first on-screen gestalt of sorts.
The tech staff that designed all of those robots worked really damn hard. Bay just blew the fuck out of them. |
