It's about ACTA/PIPA/SOPA
Applejack = The short-sighted lobbyists and greedy corporations who are stuck in the past and refuse to adapt their business models. Mayor Mare = The incompetant and corrupt politicians who keep pushing the bills and treaties despite public outcry. Derpy = the bills/treaty itself, raining censorship and evil upon the poor, defenseless internet city. |

It looks more like libertarian propaganda to me. Something like incompetent politicians draining the moneys of hard-working buzinessmare through taxes while irresponsible welfare-trash (like single-mom derpy) are remaining a social hazzard.
We need a crying Twilight labeled "common sense" up this one, and you have a legit "The Onion" comic. |
