More specifically, I'd like to see an AJ episode in which she's in the right, rather than being talked out of her own stubbornness.
This was kind of Applebuck Season Redux with a bit of a more sedate Lesson Zero. |

@YouCloppinToFoalsBro - Not really. She seemed more embarrassed and disappointed than anything. Applebloom and Mayor Mare really applied a lot of pressure on her to succeed and when she failed, she felt so embarrassed and indebted to them that she couldn't show her face back in Ponyville without some way to try and appease them. |

The next episode is an Applejack one.

Let's be honest, has Applejack ever looked good in any of her episodes? She almost causes the destruction of the town due to nearly working herself to death, almost ruins the sleepover with Rarity, loses in a competition to Rainbow Dash, and fails to win any event in her speciality field.
I'd trade in all the Applejack episodes if it meant getting episodes like Sisterhooves Social and Dragonshy even. She does much better as a Number 2 than the main focus. |

@#909396 - She won a trophy in "Applebuck Season" and got another ceremony and party dedicated to her in "The Last Roundup". That's pretty good. |

@Jack Well you could go for the rival ship with Rainbow Dash that nearly everyone loves, but you can go for the very subtle ship hints that AJ does with Twilight or even the love hate relationship she has with Rarity. |

True, but those are at the start of both episodes. She doesn't get any chances to 'redeem' herself at the end in someway. Someone made mention of this already, but when Twilight can get rid of an Ursa Major, Fluttershy 'taming' a dragon and a cockatrice, Rainbow Dash performing a Sonic Rainboom to save the Wonderbolts and win the competition, Rarity landing a good business deal after being shamed, and with Pinkie ridding a Parasprite infestation and proving that she can be a responsible pony. Has Applejack done anything like that to redeem herself in anyway at the end of her episodes? She even gets outdone in "Applebuck Season" by Twilight with her magic! Maybe the next episode might finally do something to change that, but that is a horrid streak right there. We want to see Applejack do something awesome in her very own episode! |

I may be wrong, but it seems like season 2 has been focusing far more into the characters flaws than season 1. Anyone else has this impression? And since she mentioned shipping, I'm still waiting for Derpydash art! |

AJ, the problem is that this episode should have been aired a long time ago. We know you so well by now that it wasn't YOUR feelings that were the talk of the town....it was Rainbow Dash's...FOR YOU. Derpy and Possesed Pinkie were hilarious, but the desperation in Dash to get you back was the main focus.
Thing is, its been so long since we knew you but only had one episode to yourself, that we already guessed or knew your feelings for Dash, and drew hella lot of art of you two. Don't worry about it. |
