Don't take me wrong, it's pretty cool, but it looks like "just" yet another PMV. They just copy-paste scenes from almost every episode and add some new music. The original opening contains stuff that's not in the show. But yeah, it's cool. |

The Italian opening sucks. It's generic and cheap. You only like it because it's foreign - the same reason 10-18 year olds here prefer English music and give themselves nicknames like Shadowkiller on the web. |

the funny thing? the video on ED wasn't the italian opening. Just a random amatorial video of random scenes of the show with the music of the opening.
And, btw, the italian into it's just a SLICE of that song, they don't play the whole song everytime XD |

It's nice, but it's two freaking minutes long. I would skip it every week, not because I don't like it, but because I want to get on with the damn episode.
Fun fact: in Italy MLP episodes are only 12 minutes long. Each regular episode is split into a two-parter (with the season premieres being four parts each.) |

i dunno. i'm probably biased sinse i've grown accustomed to the english one, but the italian doesnt look that awesome to me. dont get me wrong, it still sounds nice, but short n sweet is a bit better suited for fim, imo. |

italian opening is too manic and uninspired for me :T like anime openings, it throws too many clips and events to fully take in anything. the american one is just short and sweet enough, also using its own animations and not just a clip-fest.
as for music, i still find myself humming the "my little ponyyyy..." (somewhat annoyingly :P) but just like with anime intro music, i cant remember the italian one at all :S but they're my two cents. or pennys. |

Yeah, whether you skip the English one or not, the Italian one is definitely worth a watch.
Foreign language dubs are just fun in general. Listen to "Art of the Dress" in French if you get the chance. Anybody wants to form a brony language learning club? It strikes me that it'd be an amazing opportunity to learn new languages to simply just follow the foreign dubs. |

Shows tend to not have long intros in America because they believe all Americans would lose interest halfway through. Which is true to an extent, we do tend to want everything -now-, and after so many episodes you would just want it to get right to it. Not to mention, the longer the actual show is on, the less time there is for commercials. Who knows, maybe someday if Hasbro pulls their heads out their butts and tells the DVD company to release an actual, quality -box set- with special features, maybe it'll come with the other openings. And background pony info+names. That'd be fantastic. |

I like the English one.
It tells you the whole fucking plot of the whole show; why the fuck Twilight is going through the batshit-insane life of a resident of Ponyville, why the other characters are there, what to expect from the show, and then it reminds you what you're watching and leaves you with a question that could be from happy to normal to fridge-logic sadness. And then it shows you the badass Hasbro called to put the "boot" in "reboot". ALL IN UNDER A MINUTE! |
