Seriously... Ever since Season 2 started, all i have seen is bitching. Bitching about Luna, bitching about Mare Do Well, trying to determine about a background pony being parents or their children, and this whole fucking debate about Big Mac being shipped with Cheerlie and Fluttershy. I've never taken the fandom seriously, because its not serious. Its just a fun social club of like interests to me. I enjoy the ponies, I enjoy the memes, I enjoy many of the users, I enjoy the shipping, and yes I enjoy the 34. But you know what, its not life to me. Just enjoy, and move on.

1: This stuff has always happened, both in this fandom and in every other fandom.
2: Analyzing unimportant stuff is fun for a lot of people as long as they don't get too emotionally invested in it. Same with crack shipping. 3: The people who take things too far are a minority, and there's no reason you should let their stupidity ruin the fandom for you. 4: People who trash the fandom as awful over what a minority of fans do piss me off more than the worst shippers and over-analyzers. This continues to be an awesome fandom of an awesome show, and I don't see anything changing that for a while. |

We're doing fine if this thread is any indication. We have our subsection who will cut each others' throats over speculation and the way they see things, but the difference between us and other fandoms is that it's just a section, not the whole thing. A good deal of us have positions like those in this thread: may or may not have ideas for how we think the world will be fleshed out but if we do we find other people's ideas on how those questions might be answered entertaining, not worth getting into a heated debate over.

Though I'm not sure how Sethisto is suppossedly responsible, the whole obvious downhill started in late summer with the influx of furfags and classing with furaffinity (I bet everyone remembers the mutual drama between the sites back then). This sudden and forced similarity with Sonicbase can't be coincidental. |

For me it was a good move. Half the good jokes are not-safe-for-work and censorship is never good. Even despite my flaming hatred towards furfags, OFC I would be bound to accept all the inevitable furry sickfaggotry posted and I'd admit none has the right to prevent them from doing so. The whole problem was never the anthro-porn, IT WAS ALWAYS THE FURFAGS THEMSELVES and the fact they could not control themselves and blew into tear-soaked drama and fursecution-rhetorics whenever someone expressed criticism or disapproval.
