Fluttershy is just really really rude. She asks ponies to do things for her and then asks “if it’s okay”. She interrupts a lot of things. One example is she bumped Twilight while Twilight was trying to find Rainbow Dash through binoculars. Another is she asked Rarity to improve her dress so much that it tired Rarity. She was being a smarty-pants in that episode.

She asks Ponies to do things for her because she knows she can't do them herself, and never for any reason that benefits only her. When she does interrupt somepony, it is in the largest sense of urgency, and again for another's well being. Rarity did pretty much force the information out of Fluttershy because she wanted the dress to be made to Fluttershy's liking, not that the other ponies in that episode were any better. Can't vouch for the binoculars thing though. Spirit of Kindness, yo. |
