I think there's a lot to talk about with Applejack from this episode, it's just all the off screen stuff which makes it harder to talk about since many won't consider it canon. For instance, AJ feeling roped into earning the money come hell or high water because she said she would (otherwise she would have been a liar and she refuses to do that). Also I think it was nice to see that you don't always have to tell the WHOLE truth to be telling the truth. She was honest the whole episode, but she managed to dodge a lot of questions and create false ideas by withholding info. Not saying something isn't lying, but it's also kinda crafty of her actually.
It was nice to get an episode with the Mane 6 all involved (all talking!) and have a character who needed to over come a personal problem created by an outside situation. I've been enjoying this season but it's nice to get a little zoom out that lets everyone back into the light. |

We liked the episode just fine, it was a good story. But, well, there isn't a lot to discuss about it.
Also Anons should die and leave if they don't want to be part of this fandom. I don't see why they are feeling jealous for us liking AJ AND Derpy. Were you introduced anything new and interesting about AJ that would merit a ton of new fanart? If there was a new family member, or if AJ found a new hobby or something like that there'd be something to work with. Her being caught up in keeping her promises was very well done, but it isn't exactly a new thing. |

Well there was the whole thing with AJ deciding to go work at a cherry farm. That's pretty much the first official 100% canon statement that ponies don't have to do what their Cutiemark says they'll do. I mean, I'd be surprised if there's not at least one cherry-themed AJ tumblr or something by the next week |

Whatever, lol. I loved everyone in the Mane 6 from this episode. AJ's always been my favorite from day one, and I loved her in this episode. I didn't she was overshadowed at all --I think it depends on the viewer, tbh. If you didn't love AJ in this, then you just have no taste/life experience/empathy and you probably have the attention span of a five year old. This fandom seriously loves the most shallow things. Go back to loving Derpy Hooves or whatever. |
