They've used Derpy's name as file images earlier too-I think there was one that was called "Derpy hooves is definitely cannon" in one of the flash games they made. Still, this is the first time that the show has stated Derpy's name exactly-it's not just people using it as a kind of joke. |

The voice they gave Derpy in the show is not the voice I wanted for her but I'll live with it. I prefer the voice she gets from BaldDumboRat's youtube channel. |

@Anon851: I like that voice too but the legal issues Hasbro would go through if they were to adopt that voice (or hire BaldDumboRat) would be utter insanity.
Derpy's official voice still suits her, I think. |

Decades from now linguists will wonder how the word "derp" came to be adapted into the formal language. They will learn it all started with the young generation hearing it in a show on TV. |
