Whoever posted "ponychan is claiming they named Derpy" is a godly troll. Taking advantage of an ambiguous "we" and the pre-existing tensions.
Same poster later clarified that "we" meant "we the fandom". It's foolish to say otherwise since /co/ was the fandom's epicenter; everything got started there. |

Ponychan's threads were visited by people from /co/ asking them for an explanation.
They quickly devolved and ponychan turned hyper-agressive against /co/, ordering them to leave, ordering them to "stop lying, Derpy was OUR idea" and as usual, the mods began delivering bans and deleting threads that contained opinions unfavorable to Ponychan. In other words, just another typical day at Ponychan. |

Ugh.
See, this is why I only visit Ponychan for Desktop Ponies and nothing else. I was commenting on /co/ when some anons linked to Ponychan's threads discussing this and yes, they were claiming credit for everything done by the fandom, calling everyone else "immature" and immediately after that they pelted them with cuss words and assorted insults. |
