The thing is, derp isn't even a real word. Ditz is, and its definition is mean, unlike what people say about Derpy. I'd rather be described using a fake word than by a word that means " a scatterbrained, stupid, or simple-minded person; dolt."

@hombad26 Glad to see someone thinks the same as me, also derp is use as for an instance of doing something stupid but not that the person is stupid, so ya Derpy is better as it can be the same as calling her clutzy.

^^ Exactly. "Derp" can mean whatever you want it to; it's just a nonsense word. Ditzy means an airhead. Also, I can't hear "Ditzy Doo" without thinking of Scooby Doo and his various cousins.

True, we will never accept Ditzy as a substitute name. And, if someone finds Derpy offensive then how could Ditzy be less offensive?
