Shut up, that's why |

Because she felt we needed an elaborate chase sequence rather than her teleporting or telekenesis haxing AJ. |

SHUT UP FRODO! |
| JP #893677 6 months ago |
She forgot she could magic |
| Anonymous #893683 6 months ago |
the twilight and her magic is getting old, see it as this: she forgot in the excitement. |
| Anonymouz #893690 6 months ago |
My guess is she couldn't aim properly. Magic isn't auto lock like when she enchanted her Smarty Pants doll. |
| relias #893692 6 months ago |
because it was being controlled by other ponies, and she didn't want to directly interfere with them thus possibly breaking some kind of law / being rude / etc? |
| Anonymous #893698 6 months ago |
WHY DIDNIT FREDO TAKE THE EAGLES TOO MOUNT QUAKE? |
| Anonymous #893699 6 months ago |
Twilight does seem to be hemorrhaging IQ points in the newer episodes, doen't she. |
| Kanrabat #893701 6 months ago |
For the same reason they had a chariot chase scene to begin with. For the hillarity! |
| Anonymous #893708 6 months ago |
Conservation of momentum. Sure, she COULD have stopped it, but not without breaking necks or legs in the process.
Same reason she didn't teleport onboard, only there it would have been her own legs. |
| TenchiFreak5 #893713 6 months ago |
One does not simply magic away problems. |
| Anonymous #893730 6 months ago |
Because that way the episode would have ended too early and we wouldn't have got an elaborate chase sequence or a funny ending with Pinkie and Rarity stuck on the desert. XD |
| imnotgivingmynametoamachine #893742 6 months ago |
Magic doesn't auto-lock and needs distance. Remember how she had trouble catching RD the 1st time this season or how she couldn't undo the Want-It Need-It spell without getting into a direct line of sight?
She was able to get RD the 2nd time because she was closer and RD was going in a straight line. Also, those stage coach ponies looked strong enough that they could have outpulled any magical force Twi would have tried. |
| Emo-kingbeat #893839 6 months ago |
Because then we wouldn't have the totally badass scene of Fluttershy and Rainbow flying over the train. |
| Ericon9 #893931 6 months ago |
Fuck you, that's why! |
| Nebbie #894274 6 months ago |
Because as shown by pulling Twilight having the effect of also pulling the thing Twilight's magic was pulling, telekinesis is a physical force that can interact normally with other forces.
This means that were she to use magic, the ponies could resist it (even Fluttershy could resist being pulled out of a box) and potentially lead to them and AJ being injured or killed in the resulting crash. Additionally, Twilight was moving as well, and that could make it harder to maintain the proper forces. Would you want to stop a carriage with a tennis net? That's pretty much what it would be like. |

the "pull ponies maybe being stronger than her magic" doesn't quite work as an argument, since she lifted an ursa minor off the ground in season 1. and a water tower. simultaneously |
| Anonymous #895623 6 months ago |
Because she could have hurt the four other ponies that were pulling the chariot if she tried to use her magic to stop it? |
| Dysons_Fear #899900 5 months ago |
Because all the episodes would be ten seconds long jackass |
| JohnTheSavage #900762 5 months ago |
Better question: why does strapping on a heavy carriage make them go faster? |
