And then when the episode turns out to be JUST LIKE ALL THE REST with ending so that the story is unchanged (except maybe Mac and Cheerilee being a little closer friends) we can go back to enjoying this. |

EVERYPONY WAIT!! FlutterMac is not dead yet, the episode is not on air, CheerileeXMac is not confirmed yet, and the CMC might mistake normal interaction between Mac and Cheerilee for bigger things. And if the ship is canon, break ups happen, we have no evidence that they will stay together forever. I will continue to ship FlutterMac no matter what, this Cheerilee does get Mac my fanon will say that they break up and Fluttershy will move in. |

Actually, there has been a LOT of continuity in this show. Sure, not every episode will directly continue off of a previous episode, but certain events that happen ripple their effects through future episodes.
Take "Baby Cakes" or "May the Best Pet Win" for example. Sure, we may not see the babies or Tank in every episode this season, but we will see them again in a future episode and it would be silly to think that their existence would just be dropped completely. Twi kept Owlowiscious, Big Mac's lost bet affected Applebuck Season, Sonic Rainboom has affected other episodes, and so on. If you think "CheeriMac" is gonna just disappear, yeah, it's possible...but it's just as likely to stay around too. |

Imnotgivingmynametoamachine, you connect dots were there aren't any. The episodes don't even follow chronological order. Tank is yet to show up again, Twilight looks forward to the Gala a half season after it happened, I coukd go on, but yeah CheeriMac is almost certainly a one time thing in canon. |

Actually, the Hearts and Hooves episode hasn't happened yet, so we don't know exactly what will happen by the end. It might be anything, including the status quo being restored and there being no relationship.
I mean, it says the CMC /make/ Mac and Cheerilee fall in love, so that could be a love potion or spell or something that blows over by the end of the episode. Point is, don't go around happily shouting "Fluttermac is dead!" |
