Fixed.
And as I said, I discovered so much with the internet. A SOPA'd internet would be boring and useless. The internet made me buy so much Transformers, video games, and even ponies. The internet made me buy **shocked gasp** MOVIES! Why? because the free internet let me know about all of these things. If I had to pay for everything that appeared on my screen, I would have just given up and I would have done something else with my money. Maybe moving into a Mormon community or something... |

I totally agree with Kanrabat. Those companies are probably forgeting that the internet has an enormous potential for advertising, without ever spending cash on advertising - the fans will spread the word themselves. |

The issue is the lobbyists and corporations supporting SOPA are all at least 50 years older than the internet to begin with, so they have no idea how it works and just that there is a chance that it's existance means they aren't making as much money as theoretically possible. |

all that may be true, but...... on the other hand, Princess Molestia, Princess Trollestia, Rapemare moon wouldnt have <s>cum</s> came into power, rule34 would have one LESS thing to er... you know, and there would be WAY LESS memes around (witch isnt that bed on that part/ depends on meme)

If the media networks can't get their shows ONLY on their venues, why would advertisers pay top dollar for network TV spots.
Imagine what would happen if the Super bown were to be aired worldwide by anyone with a camera? Instead of millions of dollars a second for an ad, advertisers would be paying very paltry amounts. And if there's undue amounts of competition online, be it lega, illegal, or foreign, the net worth of TV ads drop more. |
