@554 No, it's not necessarily a power game. Piracy is a real problem, and media companies can and do take a big hit to potential profits when their stuff is leaked into the internet. That said, Sopa is like trying to kill a field mouse with a nuclear warhead. You get the mouse, but you also pretty much wreck the day for everyone else. |

We only need 41 votes against sopa to stop it9at lest until it's reworked so it can be tried again), there are now 35 senators openly opposing it, so only 6 more need, so "enough votes to pass it" maybe not. |
