No of course not. Complacency is what will get SOPA passed. The bill needs to not exist in ANY form.

Fuck you, OP.

I wont breathe a sigh of relief until President Obama kicks that screaming whore to the curb, like the pimp we know he is.

I just realized something: ironically, I had soup for dinner today.
Food sopa is the only acceptable sopa.

You underestimate the power of the corporate lobbyist contributions. There's still enough votes to pass it.

It's a power game. Media companies had power, and then the internet came along. Now they have less power every day. They want more power. SOPA gives them more power. Smash the fucking control machine.

I'm happy to hear that Obama opposes SOPA. Just like I was happy to hear about all those other things he opposed and yet signed into law.

@554 No, it's not necessarily a power game. Piracy is a real problem, and media companies can and do take a big hit to potential profits when their stuff is leaked into the internet. That said, Sopa is like trying to kill a field mouse with a nuclear warhead. You get the mouse, but you also pretty much wreck the day for everyone else.

So just fill out a dox and send it to congress, google has it and other sites too...

Don't give SOPA or PIPA or DERPA a 0.00000001% chance to pass OP, Thats the reason people are blowing up.

@anon495
We only need 41 votes against sopa to stop it9at lest until it's reworked so it can be tried again), there are now 35 senators openly opposing it, so only 6 more need, so "enough votes to pass it" maybe not.
