I've been wanting to do a gag on this ever since the thought was brought up that if AppleBloom's special talent is carpentry (as strongly suggested in "Show Stoppers), she wouldn't have a cutie mark that matched her name. |

Her talent will be either decoration or carpentry. While the former is more likely, the later is far cooler. Anyway, I think her cutie mark will depict her talent, alongside with something apple related. |

I don't know about that. A big theme of this show is that there are many ways to be a girl and AB becoming a carpenter would perfectly encapsulate that message. |

I totally agree! The scene where she repairs the club house left some questions whether her talent was decoration or carpentry. From what I heard, it seems like most fans believe that her talent is decoration, but carpentry would be far more awesome and fit her better. |

Uhh i wouldn't be so sure about carpentry.
Do anyone remember how badly they "recreated" the taable at Fluttershy's place during "Stare Master"? I'm pretty sure if carpentry was her talent she could at least hold her friends back long enough to make something that actually resembles a freaking table. |

The implication tends to be that she is generally good at craft design, with the know-how to make things practical and pretty at the same time. Her cutie mark will probably be an apple blossom that matches the flower design she puts on her first masterwork, like the wheels of that cart maybe. (But we're never really going to see it because Status Quo Is God.)
As for Fluttershy's table: Have you ever been stuck in a group project, and you're the only one in it who really knows what you're doing? How did it go? If you watch the scene again, Apple Bloom passes judgment on the result like the harsh expert on a reality show. "Somepony needs to put this thing out its misery." |

I think it's a running gag of this show by that point that though all three are likable and capable individuals (maybe except scoots) collectively as CMCs they are the worst hazzard that has befallen that show. Even the episodes starring CMC was a failure. |
