We'll have to see. Personally I'm hoping for some really troll-ish ending, like Big Mac declines because he already has a girlfriend, [mane cast member]. Or all the CMC attempts fail, then when no one's looking they get together anyway. |

^The best troll idea I've heard yet is if whenever a mane cast member hears about the pair they react with a little jealousy. Like, say, Twilight surreptitiously knocks a heart-shaped frame with Big Mac's picture into a drawer, or Fluttershy's face briefly goes gala-level angry only to quickly pull her reaction back in.
Big Mac's the only eligible bachelor in town, the local girls are gonna be furious at that missed opportunity. |

I wouldn't stick a fork in Fluttermac or any other Big Mac shipping just yet.
Remember, it's the CMC who's trying to pair him and Cheerilee together... in other words it's bound to go terribly and hilariously wrong. They'll most likely only spend the day/night together(because it's Valentine's/Hearts and Hooves Day) then decide just to be friends. Of course I could be wrong *shrug* |

The CMC are going to try to play matchmaker for Cheerilee and Big Macintosh.
Fandom erupts like Cheeritosh is a done deal. Seriously, exactly how often have the CMC succeeded up to this point? (Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight, to use a rather distasteful metaphor. As far as shipping goes, Macinderp is one of the few that I actually like, and Fluttermac is tolerable, but if they make Cheeritosh canon I can live with that.) |

You're kidding right? There are tons of other male ponies, many of which are good looking and can be assumed single. Blues, Caramel, Doctor Whooves (unless paired with Derpy), Ace, Baritone, Haute Cuisine, Cherry Coke, the list goes on. |

Not calling butthurt, but come on - first, it was inevitable. It's always inevitable. besides, it's just for Valentines Day, it's not like their changing their entire scope of the show to be more appealing to shippers. Second, just wait until the episode airs before you pack your bags from the show. Usually when things like this go down, the episode ends with little to no effect on the rest of the story. The most likely thing that'll happen is the CMC fail, but Mac and Cheerilee become better friends. Because, come on, that's what this show's all about: Friendship. Plain, simple, unromantic friendship. |

Really, from what little I know about the upcoming episode, it sounds like one of those "students/kids get teacher/parent together with someone so they can reap the benefits." Most of those end with the couples NOT permanently getting together. |

@CogWeaver i wouldnt leave the show because of one episode. But i do NOT like these romantic stuff, they are annoying and make depressive. Romance is always ruining everything i watch, mlp was the only safe place. I dont want to let it affect how much i like the show untill i watch the damn episode.
I know it was inevitable, but they made one and a half season without it and they were flawless, and now they want to ruin it. I usually try to be an oppen minded guy, but i do not give a chnce to this kind of stuff |

I sure would like to see Cheeritosh succeed. If it does, it will be in spite of the CMC's horribly bad efforts, and would make for a heartwarming ending. Remember this is a Valentine's episode and this is a show that can cause Diabetes in ten seconds flat, so the happy ending where they get together is rather likely. If they don't get together, we'd likely see another couple flourishing to prevent a downer ending (the message being that one day you will find the right pony). |
