My hypothesis is that Pegesis wing grow slower than their bodys. Pound cake can fly now but once he grows a little more he wont be able to once his wings have fully grown to support his new weight. |

^Too bad it doesn't make sense. |

Um, 1:18 in on Cutie Mark Chronicles, Scoot flies. How does everyone seem to forget that? |
| Simlun #877879 6 months ago |
^What drugs are you on? I want some. She scoots on her feet, powered by her wings.
If you look at 20:25 on the second episode you'll see two fillies in full flight. |

^She uses her wings only to slow her fall. Jumping is not flying.
@#877771 But magical unicorns and two princesses that raise and lower the sun/moon does? Magic bro: Doesn't have to make sense. |

"I thought this at first too but then realized,
poundcake weighs alot less and his wings are more ion scale with his body, I’ve heard of some animals(mostly insects) that can fly when they’re young but can’t when they grow bigger, once poundcake gets larger his wings willn’t be able to support his weight and he will have to wait for his wings to grow in like Scootaloo is now" -SangheiliSean |

^That's why babies can do a 100 pushups.
Wait! |
| Baron #877949 6 months ago |
^It takes humans around 7 months to start crawling.
A foal starts walking after 20 to 30 minutes after being born. Just because human babies can't do something doesn't mean other spices of babies can't do it. |
| Simlun #877983 6 months ago |
^And then they stop walking because they get too heavy?
Also, did you see the two fillies flying in the second episode of the first season? |
| Baron #878018 6 months ago |
^Oh yes, that really baffles me. Could mean Scoots is just flightless Forever! or they just learnt to fly? Do pegasi really need flying lessons to fly though? you would think it would come naturally. |

^I suspect she's either handicapped, or has had bad parents who haven't taught her to fly. |
| strawberry_mask #878046 6 months ago |
Maybe she can fly and it just happens off-screen |
| Simlun #878059 6 months ago |
^That doesn't make sense. She was clearly chased by a cockatrice and didn't fly away. She ran. |
| Anonymous #878534 6 months ago |
^@Simlun So, the animators take a short cut and you count it as evidence that she couldn't fly? |
| Lium #878610 6 months ago |
Bit pointless flying away from somethign that also flies, Simlun. |
| Simlun #878664 6 months ago |
^I guess you've never been scared? It was a life-threatening situation, then you don't think. You just fly away.
Also, there has never been any implications that she can fly. She has only scooted around. |

Simlun... OMG! Scootaloo really does go along the ground during Cutie Mark Chronicles 1m 18s and not flying. I always thought she was flying in an erratic pattern but actually her feet are dragging along the top of a curvy hill the whole way.
This means that the closest she has ever done to flying canonically is when she hovered for a second during Cutie Pox. I have been convinced Scootaloo is not a weak flying nor a rare flyer, but can't fly. |
| achro #879287 6 months ago |
Sono, I thought the same as you, but look at Cutie Mark Chronicles 1m 18s again. Her feet trace the edge of a hill. |

She does some pretty good hovering in one of the cheer-up-apple-bloom sequences at the start of Cutie Pox. |
