So I sat down, thought about it and decided to reupload. Which I suppose brings around the question of why I left in the first place.
Truth be told, I made a foahl of myself.
Another picture on here somewhere I saw people having “WTF” reactions to. I knew the history of the picture being a close friend of the man who had it commissioned. I debated whether I should and...I felt embarressed a short while afterwards, especially since Ponybooru seems to have a low opinions on Macrophiles in general, if the comments on that picture there are anything to go by (for the record, I’m not a fan of either the picture or the artist who drew it – but I thought I was helping by explaining things).
Time passed, and I since decided to return, if only for a short while. I’m just lucky my inbox isn’t full of people teasing me about it.
So I suppose you should ask yourselves now, can you forgive me? At all?

May I ask how you did this with the pony rag dolls assuming you rescaled them? The doll resize program I have doesn't work with them. :<

I think it's kinda cute seeing Twi playing with a tank.

And I don't have a problem with macrophiles at all. They always seem to endure the big issues.

#876440 - I have no knowledge of how the process is done. A friend of mine rescaled them and gave them to me to play with for a while.

I know the problem however (if it helps at all) is that all the Ponies have some 500,000 Polygons to render...or something like that.

And no, I can't upload the Ponies. I'm not allowed to do so on pain of death.

I would give out his contact information, but I've since lost it. My apologies.

Don't see why giant Pony would cause commotion in the first place. Not like it fat pony pic.

Just rescaled in size, interacting with smaller things. :<>

@Wubba - to make a long story short, a good chunk of the Macrophile community sits at odds and ends with each other. I refer to things of course looking like this most of the time - http://www.ponibooru.org/post/view/64497?search=Giant

Which of course, I imagine irks quite the contingent for being rather OOC. Needless to say, a lot of the comments I spot were...rather hostile.

For the record, I do sit at odds and ends with the Macro community - even the guys into the more cleaner stuff.

@PikaRobo - See my comment directed to Anon #876440.

@Anon #877787 - I'm not going to link the picture, but I did pick up on a hostile intent with a lot of the posts going on there.

@Sir_Shockwave In all honesty, I don't see it... or at least I don't see it anywhere above standard internet ragging. Compared to the reaction some other internet fetishes get on here, macrophilia has it ultra-lite...

I've gotten it to work a few times, but it's insanely difficult to pose em when scaled up. Basically you need to modify the .qc file to remove flex files and you need to make the reference file smaller. I did it by deleting anything marked as invisible.tga...That's pretty much the only way I've gotten it to work.

No problem cap'n. I wouldn't have even tried to figure it out if you hadn't posted the pictures the first time around. Since I ran out of time last time around thanks for posting the awesome pic(s) and good luck to anyone else who gets it working!

might also need to modify the expressions file. do a search for r_ and l_ and remove those lines if your still having problems after that.

O-Oh O.O

Also, this has been bugging me - where can I find a QC file? Also, are the invisible.tga's actually invisible files, or is this just me being dense?

when you use a decompiler (cannonfodder is what I use.check for updates on it in case you have an older one.) on the models .mdl you'll get 4 files from it: a .qc, a reference.smd file, an expressions.vta file, and a ragdoll.smd file

The invisible.tga's are in the reference file and as far as I know they don't do anything but take up space (which will give you an error due to file size). There are a ton of em, but they are all one after another so it's easy to select em all and delete em if you find the first and last ones.

another note on the expressions file: you only need to remove the lines with r_ and l_ so it'll be one line for each.

I'm thinking about trying to posing a lyra ragdoll I resized to show the kind of results I get. Only they are so hard to move like that without em spazzing all over the place that it's kind of deterring me from it. >_< Also Gmod update screwed up my textures. Twilights missing her cutie mark and some of her colors when resized. (I haven't messed with this stuff for a while) D=

Gosh darn I'm derpy recently... The expressions file may need to be copied into the created rescaled models folders also to rescale em correctly ( Folders will be like.. "scl5" for instance). Just remember to reopen the .qc in the scaler program when you make changes or it occasionally won't recognize that you've changed something.

Tried, tried and tried again but it's simply not rescaling...as usual.
