I had a nice idea for a story where the cakes found that mr cake was infertile and had to use donors. Which damages his self esteem until he finds out how well he handles his foals. |

The sex of crocodile hatch-lings is determined by the temperature of the eggs. Ponies are similar, but the type of pony is determined by this factor, not gender. If the baby is below 31.7 °C (89.1 °F), then it will become a unicorn; if it is above 34.5 °C (94.1 °F), then it will be a pegasus. Earth ponies are born when the temperature falls in between these two numbers.
