Good job, Dashie! Do whatever you have to to stop Twilight from reading that intellectual diarrhea.

Why is Atlas Shrugged bad? I thought it was a popular book.

^ It's popular among right-wing sociopaths.

I've heard it's not very good, even apart from its message. My sources may be biased, though.

Atlas Shrugged is basically modern far right Republican (note: most Republican candidates this year are not moderates) policy in a nutshell:
Taxation is bad, small, family-ownedbig, competition-crushing, evil business is good, regulation of business is bad, gov't needs to be less powerful, and OH MY CHRISTIAN GOD THE SOCIALISTS ARE COMING WE ARE DOOMED!

It severely disturbs me this woman actually made a philosophy (on that is a lot like her views in her books). It's called Objectivism, and has next to nothing to do with being objective (the reason for the name is that she thought values are objective, which has got to be the biggest pile of bullshit I've seen today, and I saw the psuedoscientific "consciousness screws with random number generators" and the "scientists looking for God, think that the fact that a universe with life has conditions that allow life is evidence of God" episodes of Through the Wormhole earlier.)

Apart from its message, Atlas Shrugged was just plain old bad writing. The antagonists are all unrealistic straw-men and the book is more devoted to being a soap box for Ayn Rand's nutty views than to telling a good story.

It's unreadable unless you already believe in its ridiculous tenets.

Twilight, as a denizen of a nation which has largely eschewed this kind of greed, is almost certainly horrified at this depiction of vile primates, is reading just to see what these hairless monkeys will do to each other next, and RD is doing her a favor by snapping her out of it.

Ayn Rand is full of shit, and I laughed my ass off when the movie version bombed.

she would have called it existentialism if it wasn't taken

also I wouldn't call it Republican so much as Libertarian, since... she really wasn't a fan of christianity. she saw it as just another vector for "altruism" to keep the useful people down for the lazy people to take advantage of them

(two dollars and ayn rand will get you a two dollar burrito and ayn rand)

Who cares about the book, we all know that Twilight is a critical reader. Remember the time she read the *fairytale* about a mare in the moon? Lol. XD

As for the rest of the pic, very cute TwiDash so my reaction will be yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes~ :D

How the hell did my image end up here? Not that I'm complaining.

Also, she's reading it because it's bad. That's pretty much the only reason.
