Anon2 Actually, most herbivorous species will turn to animal consumption in times of scarce edible plant matter, horses included. Go to a farm long enough, you WILL see a cow or pony reject old feed in favor of a stray hen. |

Feeding a horse meat is not harmful to them and they will eat it because yeah it tastes good. Meat is just another protein and like us some of it will get absorbed and some will just pass through because horses lack the enzymes to digest certain animal proteins. Just like we lack the enzymes to digest celluose. Peace!
