Big Macintosh and the Star Arcana

Big Macintosh wraps up the male Arcana lineup with the Star Arcana. The characteristics of the Star Arcana represent “hope, self confidence, faith, altruism, luck, generosity, peace and joy.” The characters of the Star Arcana usually had a selfless drive to help those around them and were also admired by the ladies.

Mamoru, the competitive athlete from another school, always saw obstacles as a chance to strengthen him in some way. He also carried a heavy responsibility of supporting his siblings ever since their father died when they were much younger. The reason for Mamoru’s intense training is his goal to earn scholarships for college and hopefully be scouted as a professional athlete in order to better support his family. He eventually decides to put college on hold and work a factory job in order to better support his family right now. Neither of Mamoru’s goals involved his own desires but a caring nature for his younger siblings.

Akihiko, the competitive senior and SEES teammate, also had a passionate drive to become stronger in order to protect those around him. His determination comes from the guilt he feels from being unable to protect his younger sister from a house fire. Akihiko is described as an “older brother” to the younger SEES members, especially towards the female protagonist. He doesn’t seem eager to socialize with his somewhat large female fanbase, which he seems more aloof about. Originally, Akihiko views fighting the Shadows as a special training and treats it like a game, but after spending time with the Female Protagonist, Akihiko notices the similar characteristics between her and his deceased sister, Miki. Thus a new resolve is born to combat the Dark Hour in order to protect his friends, who are pretty much the only family he has.

In Persona 4, the unusual bear Teddie uses his sense of smell to help the team locate individuals thrown in the TV, but after awhile, his sole strength begins to fade. Teddie soon begins to question more about his existence and his origin inside the TV. Teddie is always energetic and cheerful, ready to lend a paw at a moment’s notice. His role to assist his new friends both off and on the field is reflected in his abilities. He starts off as the team’s analyzer but after obtaining a Persona of his own, his supportive role remains intact. Teddie’s moveset deals with healing, buffs, and negative status eliminators, not to mention offensive capabilities with Ice attacks. He’s a reliable partner in combat, and he relies on the rest of the team for motivation to find out just what he is and why he exists.

Big Macintosh is a rather stalwart and silent character in the series. He prefers action over words, demonstrated by his ambition and work ethic on Sweet Apple Acres. Both Big Mac and Applejack have their work cut out for them on the farm, but Big Mac probably feels an extra sense of duty to keep his family well off as the “man of the house.” Not much is known about Big Mac, and he doesn’t seem too interested in socializing either, but sometimes, a few words is all you need to know what’s on his mind. Big Mac’s role as the oldest sibling and a provider shows his selfless loyalty to keep his family strong and healthy. His own ambitions seem to be a total mystery as his family and farm make up his total focus in life. Getting to know Big Macintosh could enlighten plenty of fans to his inner feelings and aspirations, as bottled up as they may be in the show. Plus, he could probably really use a friend to hear him out about his life. As a pony who gives so much, he needs to take a break and open up a bit.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Princess Luna is going to be the Moon arcanum and Princess Celestia is going to be the Sun arcanum, just in case it isn't obvious enough.

What about Judgement and World. OH! I bet Lauren Faust is going to be The World because she created the world of MLP:FIM.

@675

I actually never planned on doing The World Arcana since it's hardly mentioned in either P3 or P4. I know there is a single persona of the World arcana in P4, but if the World were to be applied to a single character, it would have to be the "Ponytagonist." I like your idea about Faust representing the World since she did create this version of the series, but I wanted to keep the 4th wall intact as if this were an actual game. It's still a nice thought though.

To update, sorry I haven't pushed out Moon, Sun, and Judgement yet. Truth be told, I typed up Judgement's description since I just couldn't wait on it and then fell into my normal break between uploads, even though I didn't actually upload anything. That's unfair to you guys who have been following me and I want to apologize for my laziness. I'll try to get Moon and Sun up without any major gap.

Again, sorry for my laziness, but I've kind of been falling out of the series. Out of all the things I never finished, I will make sure this reaches its appropriate ending.
