Pinkie Pie is the only one who has explicitly said that she valued faith. All of them obey and worship Celestia, but worshipping Celestia requires no faith at all. She is evident. |

Well, the closest they ever got to talking about gods is when Discord referred to miself as a "Spirit", which is pretty much the old word for 'gods' (I think I recall reading that the word "God", the entymology is actually specifically referring to the Greek god Zeus--- I don't quite remember), and irect reality manipulation, creating the likes of Screwball and half of Wonderland would require, for all intents and purposes, "A god."
As for Celestia and Luna, didn't they let slip in the Hearthswarming episode that "the unicorns" (those exact words) raised the sun back then? Of course, our fannon also says Celestia isn't above misinformation, selective "encouraging half-truths" ("You need to make some friends... *WINK*"), and propaganda... |

Also, depending on how you interpert the Elements, whether they're just artifacts you need to be in tune with, or if the Elements and the Mane 6 are essentially one and the same, then as those metaphyscial emotional concepts made manifest, then Mane 6 are (demi)gods in their own right. |

Xuncu, oddly enough I was part of a thread on da in the Philosophy and religion forums that discussed the nature of religion in equestria. I think we ultimately determined that its closer to Nordic and Wicca due to the emphasis on artifacts and magic(nord) and with the main deities being females represented by the solar/lunar cycle al'a the threefold goddess of Wicca. |

There isn't anything I've seen thats expressly Christian in any way, or if it is it mirrors similar beliefs and common sense subjective values(Sharing, Loyalty, kindness, etc). In fact, its counter to several Christian ideals, for one its not a monotheism, for two the "gods" aren't omnipotent, three theres no dogma or creedo to follow, I could go on and on. The fact of the matter is, as it stands they seem to be more of a Theistic Humanist (Ponyist) society that stress community and interconnectedness. |

^^^I normally don't give a shit, but at same time I love discussing and a good argument, and given how big the religion subject is, I always take part on a discussion about it, I take a "I don't give a buck, every religion did shit in the past and none is better than none, no matter what you say." instance, people still call me an "atheist".
Religion is worthless, humanity would be a better place without it, if you can't find strenght to do things on yourself, you are a weak pathetic being who don't deserve the oxygen you breath. |
