"Hack" is a synonym of "notch", IIRC.
So, it's a saw with notches. Also called hacks. But more commonly, teeth. Oddly enought, that blade doesn't seem to have "notches", but maybe they're just very small. It could be a hacksaw for metals, for example. When I read Cupcakes, I imagines something like a hacksaw for tender wood, with large, rusty teeth. |
