You mean missing the chance to name a filly/colt if there wasn't an official name yet?

Not really. I kinda lost all fun in trying to name ponies. Still a fun thing to do though.

No, I mean they (writers of the episode) named the colt "Pound Cake" because he loves to hit things. Why not "Crumb Cake" for the one that chews on everything?

I was waiting for Pinkie to say that babysitting them would be a piece of cake.

"Crumb Cake" sounds more like a colt's name than a filly's.

That, and I can't help thinking of the cartoonist Robert Crumb, and that'd be all kinds of wrong.

I agree crumb sounds more like a colts's name.

Also, I think the Cakes were actually rather insightful. "Crumb Cake" sounds like a name that would suck once you reached adulthood.

I'm going with the theory that Pony babies are actually born with their cutie marks, but they fade soon afterwards. The cakes saw the marks on their twins, and it revealed that their son would continue to run the bakery, but their daughter's destiny lay with working with pumpkins. Hence, they gave her a name that reflected her destiny. Personally, I would've named her Chiffon cake.

I don't get it.

Does crumb mean "to chew" in your tongue?

Oh forget it.
