well, not only does the fandom seem to have a raging boner for everypony in the series being gay, but we've only seen pokey like 1 time, for about 5 seconds, where he popped a balloon, and then then was lost to time. and it wasn't even at one of pinkie pie's parties, it was diamond tiara's cutie mark thing being hosted at sugarcube corner. so, for all we know, pokey doesn't even know pinkie. he could have a coltfriend and a foal and was only there in the first place because of his kid.

He's got an apparent talent for popping balloons, or having a sharp horn. Past the innuendo I really don't get the pairing. An edited picture had to be used just to get them in the same shot.

Reason: Nopony gives a buck about Pokey Pierce. Applejack and Rainbow Dash have some similar characteristics and likewise a lot of differences that makes it interesting to pair them. The fact that Applejack comes from a traditional home and Dash is a very boheme spirit makes for all sorts of intriguing storytelling possibilities. And their close relation of bickering and laughing together just makes it all the more possible that something could be going on between them, like their hoofwrestling, the final scene of running of the leaves. In fact, their entire chummy relationship is great to work out all sorts of relationship theories from
Pinkie Pie and Pokey Pierce... they both like parties... that's it... In fact, we don't even know if that's true with Pokey, seeing as we have never seen him in focus except for at that party for a single second. It's just not interesting. |
