That's one of those building-shapes that make for really easy playsets, isn't it? |

Looks like one of those small castles that you see in the outskirts in europe sometimes. The translator says they're called château.
They sometimes get converted into hotels and such. |

I'm thinking about Xavier's school for gifted youngsters.

Chateau is just french for castle. I think that landhouse would be a better term. |

At long last! An official name for an Equestrian hospital! |

Not so far in design from St Cadoc's Hospital, as used in Dr Who, Torchwood and Being Human. In fact the perspective above is very similar to the shot in the second linked page.
It's a mish-mash of different architectural styles though. Half-timbered build, Dutch gable in the middle, less elevated doorway and much simpler portico. Not sure what the decorative gable ends of the wings are referring to. |

The logo must be that of the Equestrian national health service. Yes, Americans: socialized health care! Equestria is a civilized place. |

^ Easy to have a national health service when your government is worshiped as a deity, Anon. :) |

More on-topic: That's a pretty impressive hospital for what we figured was a small village. Ponyville must be larger than we think, or it's a regional capital and its public facilities serve a larger area. |

(Let's try logging in)
@BackgroundPony17 It looks like a small regional hospital to me. It's evidently on the edge of a settlement and not in Canterlot, which I guess is the nearest land big city. Since it's a fairly long train ride to Canterlot and the roads are made of dirt, and Earth Ponies can't get to Cloudsdale, it stands to reason there'd be a small general hospital in Ponyville, which seems to be up and coming what with the hydromagic dam, the multi-storey construction work and the new station. Or you know. Geography is fluid in a kid's programme and new buildings are pulled out of the writers' plots as needed. |
