maybe Star Swirl was female and became famous as "bearded" when she once tried to disguise herself as a colt
that, or Star Swirl was male in canon despite the toy being female |

Different Gen, different character. It's not that hard to understand. The Transformers fandom has been dealing with this for years now. |

@Anon146:
Dude,there's a G4 Star Swirl that is in the toyline and is female. Anyway,we can safely say that there are two Star Swirls: TV Male!Star Swirl and Toy Female!Star Swirl,so there. |

Star Swirl is a very cleverly disguised pun for Harry Potter. And he is male. So it fits to logic that Star Swirl would also be a male. |

And who is to say that earth pony mare Star Swirl just doesn't have the same name as Star Swirl The Bearded and they're still two different characters? Besides, I honestly feel Hasbro just pulls names out of a hat for their non-main character pony toys. |
