BTW, I'm not much of a wine drinker myself, however I still think it's a classy drink. I'm more of a beer guy, although I do like the occasional mixed drink, and on rare occasions I'll do a straight shot. I also like meade a lot, especially since it's part of my Norwegian heritage. |

@beer haters: bud lite doesn't count. Try a few good craft beers and you may reconsider your claims. @wine haters: its only hoity toity if you make it so. I drink home made wine and mead out of plastic jugs. I've been called a lot of things because of it, but a snob isn't one of them. |

I drank beer for a long time and now I refuse to drink it again.
It's not worth it because there's not enough satisfaction. Stronger liquors like Vodka, whisky and tequila are far more satisfying. I like wine with my dinner, though. |

I'm 23 years old. I do not drink. I do not like the idea that one should ingest a mind altering substance (yes, alcohol is a drug for the few people who don't know that) in order to loosen up, relax, or have fun. I have fun with friends by playing games, watching movies, and going out and doing something we consider fun. If it's not fun to me in my normal state, I don't want to have to imbibe some chemical to make it fun, or "enhance" how fun it is.
As for the taste, they're are plenty of good tasting drinks and foods without that stuff. Frankly I don't see the point. |

Hi, I'm thirty years old. I don't like the idea that one *should* ingest a substance that affects ones mind in order to loosen up, relax, or have fun. I can do that without beer, which I drink on a far less than nightly basis. But when I want a beer it's because I want to appreciate the taste of a fine craft beer which I drink slowly in order to savour the taste (and fine beer in my experience is always best nursed). I also don't get uptight over adults having different tastes than I do. Honestly, I can respect your personal preferences, but there's no need to be so judgmental about those of others. |

I'm 30 and I've never liked beer. Ever. It tastes repulsive to me. There are a very few select types of beer I can tolerate drinking when necessary (Guinness and Coors Light to be exact), but I will always pick something else if given the chance (generally something without alcohol because I don't like to end up thirstier than when I started).
I really don't give a fuck if some dickhead thinks he's more of a man than me because he's managed to fool himself into thinking beer tastes good or kill enough taste buds he can't tell the difference any more. He can go tell it to a brick wall because I'm not going to change. I'll drink a Mike's or a mixed drink since I can actually enjoy those and at 7 AM the next day I won't be the one in the bathroom passed out with my head in the toilet. |

^ Sweet drinks are actually easier to get drunk off of, because it's harder to taste the alcohol. Beer gets its bitter, bready flavor from the hops, not the alcohol. The only difference between beer and mike's hard is that mike's hard is flavored with sugar and lemon juice instead of hops. Both of them are fermented barley mash, and both will get you just as drunk if you drink a lot. |

I'm 23 (and female) and I don't drink.
And no it's not some moral high ground thing like others I literally had four drinks at different times when I was younger and just decided not to drink anymore. So sorry for not having some crazied rant about why I don't drink. Most of my friends do however and I never say one word to them about it. TL:DR Please don't think all us non-drinkers are crazy holier-than-thou types. I respect anyone's decision to drink. Also this picture is great reminds me of Allegrezza! |
