She just wants to have fun and is a bitch childish about that. It's also chance she has Fourth Wall breaking powers that help her acquire fun. In otehr words, she's Rule of Fun personified. The difference with Discord is that Discord runs with fun as a battery and with Nightmare Fuel as, well... fuel. |

Chaos isn't evil. Discord is. Chaos is unrestrained free will and creative thought, chaos is change. If chaos were subdued and only Order existed, it would be a very boring and soulless world.
Anyways, yes, Pinkie Pie channels chaos magic. How the fuck else does she pull off that crazy shit? Again, read: Chaos isn't evil. No magic is, only the user is evil. Not all practitioners of dark magic are out to annihilate the world of the living. Just, um, most of them. |

Pinkie could kill everypony and end up having to be stopped by Celestia. How? She can hijakk teleportation magic, build insane contraptions, run faster than Rainbow Dash can fly (that or teleport herself. keep in mind Dash is the fastest Pegasus and certainly faster than any other Earth Ponies), and has limited knowledge of the immediate future, particularly dangers, that would make her basically unkillable.
That's assuming she doesn't hav 4th wall magic or anything beyond what we've already seen. Can you imagine if what she did with Twilight's teleporting applied to other forms of magic as well? She's on the side of good. She uses her powers for good. If she were to be on the side of evil, everypony would be screwed. |

Pinkie's just an adorable, silly little pony who probably has an ocean of untapped magic in her. If she was aware of the extent of her powers, let alone capable of wielding it in full force, she wouldn't be so carefree and cheerful. She'd probably become straight-mane Pinkie out of fear of accidentally unleashing lethal amounts of chaotic magic through her antics. |

So, to reiterate, Pinkie is just what she is in canon: Adorable, silly, carefree, and a lover of all things that brings joy to everypony's face. Her impossible actions and strange abilities are only a small part of her, and if it weren't for how noticeable they were, her stronger traits would shine more. |
