Seriously you don't even know us. Our lives should be meaningless to you, as should what we do with them. If you haven't met someone don't bother giving a flying fuck about them. It makes life a lot easier. (I'm probably stepping on a lot of toes with this next part, but as I said it doesn't matter what you think, and actually it doesn't matter what I think. It works both ways) Not caring has helped spare me a lot of unnecessary grief and other efforts I could be investing in other more important things pertaining to myself. One thing that pisses me off more than anything else is people who freak out about something happening halfway across the planet that does not directly affect their own lives. Some examples being: earthquakes, hurricanes, nuclear meltdowns, and 9/11 (Yeah it happened in New York. I understand people in and around NY freaking out and crying and whatnot, if I were there I would be too. But people in Texas. Seriously almost the opposite end of the country. Nobody here knows anyone in NY, yet there were still people getting all flippy and mourning. It's disgusting.) Maybe my friend is right. I am a douche in need of a good slap of compassion. |
