My headcanon is that Soarin' isn't an idiot like everyone thinks he is, but rather has gone completely insane from a combonation of work related stress and old age, and is now basically the Wonderbolt's personal Pinkie Pie. They keep him around because he's among the most respected and longest standing members, and he always buys everyone pie after shows. Then threatens to cut them and rape their pets if they don't eat any. Good thing everypony loves pie. |
