I still find this pure insult.
No fashionable hijab? C'mon. It could use some gems. Sequins! Maybe even a nice pattern or something! |

in her char description its said that she turns heads with her bouncing curls. She loves attention and bringing out beauty, not hiding it with opressive BS |

Rarity is a strong, emancipated lady. Misogyny doesn't fit her. |
| KRODERSERK #850980 6 months ago |
Rarity would only wear something like that by losing a bet or such.
But thats just my opinion, don't mind me. |
| WatermelonRat #851005 6 months ago |
^^There's nothing inherently misogynistic about hijabs. It's misogynist when women are given no choice in the matter (which unfortunately does happen in the more conservative muslim countries) but many women choose to wear them on their own.
There are very conservative people out there who insist that women must wear dresses, but I don't see you calling the numerous pics of Rarity in dresses misogynist. |

^ Dresses aren't meant to hide women from sight, hijabs are.
A jew can choose to wear a yellow star on all of his clothes, that doesn't make it any less of a symbol of oppression. |
| WatermelonRat #851027 6 months ago |
You're the one assigning that meaning to them. You're trying to tell women what they can and can't wear. YOU'RE the one being oppressive and misogynist. |
| Anonymous #851035 6 months ago |
@WatermelonRat
Yeah and women in muslim countries wearing those hijabs because they want to... |
| Saufsoldat #851052 6 months ago |
Uh-huh and the sky is brown with purple polka dots.
I'm not telling women that they can't wear a hijab, unlike muslims I like the idea of women decided for themselves what they want to wear. I'm just saying that flaunting it around as though you're proud of it, while elsewhere women get raped or murdered for trying to rid themselves of this oppressive piece of cloth, is disgusting. |
| WatermelonRat #851070 6 months ago |
So if there was a regime somewhere that required that everyone wear T-shirts under threat of death, you'd chew out people in the U.S. who chose to wear T-shirts?
And for the record, most western muslims (and muslims in more moderate nations like Turkey, Indonesia, and Bosnia) like the idea of women deciding what to wear for themselves and would probably appreciate if you stopped assigning the beliefs of the most hardcore Saudi Arabian/Iranian/Afghan fundamentalists to them. |

WOMAN WEAR A HAJIB AND MAKE ME A HAM SANDVICH !!! |
| WatermelonRat #851090 6 months ago |
The fact that you think a muslim fundamentalist would demand a ham sandwich demonstrates just how ignorant you are.
(probably a troll, but then again I've met muslim-haters who really are that stupid) |

black twilight only comes up like once or twice a month
I know it's always going to happen, I'm just tired of it going on nonstop for days on end |

hiding from sight? what are you talking about?
Its hiding "human beauty" much like a Sunday dress. original purpose to cover up: - hid woman beauty to others eyes, (an extreme solution to the "woman that launch 1000 ships/wars break out over a woman" saying..in other words so men don't go crazy or do something bad was the mentality back then) - show purity and sign of modesty (similar echo to Genesis 35:1–3 "purify yourselves and change your garments") - suppose to stop unbiasism, wont decide over lust or pretty face Keeping the wearer cooler is a benifit in dry areas but i doubt that even cross their mind. Maybe protect from son, but again not really its purpose. Men do go over the same albiet it is slack since the people are in power want an easy life thus having a ripple effect. This is why their shouldn't be stupid selfish people being in charge of things, they're interpretation may have negative effect. Like the marriage quote, its supports Monogamy in Islam, yet they read it wrong, you can not treat 3 different woman equally or 2 you will always favor one. "Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; But if you fear that you will not be able to deal justly with them, then only one." impossible, i say, impossible to do so, |
