It's easier to pity one fictional character that you like than it is to mourn millions of actual people that you've never seen, heard or met. The brain just views them as a number or an old picture. Empathy only goes only so far for some people. |

I'll just play devil's advocate here a bit. Nobody would deny that it was a tragedy, but I also doubt that poster knows anyone who was personally affected by the event. It was nearly 70 years ago, so crazy as it might sound, a lot of people these days are going to write it off as ancient history to be read about in class and then forgotten. If you think it's bad now, give it another 10 years. On the other hand, despite not being real, people "know" the ponies and have a chance to become emotionally invested in them. |

On one hand, Rainbow Dash is a character who's close to us, and to someone deep in the fandom practically a friend. So I can see how that could make it more "personal."
But my first thought on the picture, before I read the comments, was, "This is the Holocaust, and it's really not appropriate for ponies." I don't understand the process of how someone decides to photoshop this. |

No U.S. intelligence reports ever gave any indication of gassing or mass extermination. 5-Jews took a census of their people before WW2 and after and in order for there to have been 6 million people killed each and every jewish female on this planet would have to given birth to something like 13 children and that never happened. |
