^Implant mini-TVs into your eyes and ears so you can watch ponies without needing to be at home.

Or get a receiver with HDD and set it for the time.

I hope they bring out a DVD box soon so I can watch ponies and support the team.

TLDR; Outmoded and shortsighted international business arrangements are going to encourage episode pirating in the Eurozone (and elsewhere).

Well greedy corporational overlords can't even get their own shit straight... I've almost stopped worrying about their almsot-successful world domination plans.

Thanks for posting this; we can only hope Hasbro does work out something sooner rather than later to allow for a greater pony distribution network.

You've never heard of how the Disney Vault works, have you? If you have something people really want, to the point they'd practically kill for it, you want to make sure they buy as much or as many as possible. So you hold it back. You make people sweat on it. They get panicky and write letters to television companies. Then the company that they've got some coming up for sale. Everyone goes mad and clears them out.

It's why shops are always having blue cross sales or why sofa retailers are in perpetual state of "closing down". You want people to buy all of your stock before it's all gone. It can be really effective when done properly.

it's nice and surprsng to see a response written by a human being, even if it's just "there's nothing we can do for now, I'm sorry, please buy our stuff"

now we wait, and wait and wait

Yeah but that's Disney.

Hasbro on the other hand is communist. They hate money.

If they knew what's profitable for them they would had bent over Faust's demands for whatever instead of removing her from head-designer.

^But Hasbro didn't remove from Head-designer it was her own decision.

^^They should have given her the full creative liberty she asked for.

They just did not realise who was BOSS in their "cooperation".

Do you know who the fuck is the main investor of Hasbro? Do you know who is the top CEO of Hasbro's managent?

Did not think so.

Faust was wearing the pants and could give them bitches some serious $$ if they could handle the popularity of the show right and make Lauren a fucking sammitch while they were at it. But noooo they had to "show that knocked up bitch her place" because she dared "correct the MAN of the house in front of the investers" and now they are all like "why can't I hold all this audience?".

Dum bitches.

I was about to say the same as AppleJackFrost.

She felt the large workload, as well as the desire to create her own show, was too much for in the end. After already relieving herself of some of her duties and becoming a consultant, she stayed long enough to see the end of the first series air (remember that work for the second was underway at this point). And now she's working on The Galaxy Girls, I believe.

As for Hasbro hating money; remember who the target demographic is. Primarily, the only use a DVD would be to a 3-7 year old girl would be to babysit her for half an hour. A box set would be an expensive way to do that, when you could just bundle individual episodes with the toys and give both the toy and the video an extra unique selling point.

One of things you have to remember is that Hasbro know only too well how poorly received the G3.5 brand was. My Little Pony was their pinnacle brand in the 80s and 90s; by taking on Faust, rebranding and redesigning their products so soon after their last major refit and then relaunching when they already have to budget for Transformers toys is a gamble of huge stakes. It could've left them without a major toy line for girls.

But, as their market research presentation shows (as seen on Equestria Daily), they're sitting pretty with two large markets to sell to and all the time in the world to do it.

Why doesn't Hasbro just become a Youtube partner and release the episodes there?

The bronies get to watch the show whenever they want, and Hasbro gets the money from people watching the episodes.

Win-win!

we should make animated pictures of the whole episode, and have recordings of the episodes, and play them both at the same time.

@849778: Investment companies. MFS Investment Management, Fidelity, and Vanguard together hold 30% of Hasbro's stock.

There's no secret agenda; Hasbro is a for-profit corporation through and through. It'll try to do the profitable thing, as best as it can figure what that is.

As clearly stated, they already have distribution contracts with various networks and as such at this stage they couldn't do that even if they wanted to.

It's not their fault, it's the media giants. They're putting up a lot of walls and silly laws so they can corral and funnel more money into their wallets.
